Open source alternatives to Trello

Trello is a hosted kanban board for moving cards across lists.

Original introduction

For many small teams a kanban board is the whole project system, and Trello, an Atlassian product, is the hosted board they know. Moving it in house is a smaller job than replacing a full tracker. Of the five boards listed, three count as open source on the site. One has not had a commit in over a year, and another is source-available, so read the status line on each card before choosing.
